Twenty-eight years of owning his own business has given Max the unique advantage of knowing exactly what our state government needs to do to help put people back to work.
Reform our Workers' Compensation (WC) system: Right now, Montana is the second most expensive state in which to purchase Workers' Compensation Insurance. This makes it more expensive for businesses to operate here and is responsible for driving many Montana companies out of state or overseas each year.
Support job-creating policies that allow the safe utilization of our natural resources: Montana has one of the country's widest ranges of raw materials. These represent a business that is uniquely protected from outsourcing, and with an approach that considers both jobs and sustainability, it will remain a source of employment for our state for generations to come.
Encourage businesses to keep and create jobs in Montana by voting against any new taxes on them. Employers are facing a tough enough time as it is and raising taxes will not make it any easier for them to keep operating in our state. That's why Max opposes any plan to increase taxes, whether it's on our businesses or our families.
