Next Monday, September 13, 2010, Congressman Ted Deutch and State Representative Maria Sachs will hold "Investing in Florida's Economy: 21st Century Energy," a South Florida renewable energy summit. The event will feature opening remarks from Congressman Deutch and Rep. Sachs and a panel discussion of energy experts from the United States Department of Energy, the National Green Energy Council, Enterprise Florida, the Center for Ocean Energy Technology, local renewable energy businesses, and other organizations. The event will also serve as an opportuntiy for local small business owners and green energy advocates to forge new relationships and map South Florida's renewable energy future.
Congressman Deutch's opening remarks will focus on the potential of clean energy to create new jobs in Florida and the need for Congress to pass comprehensive legislation spurring investment in this important emerging industry.
