Congressman Ted Deutch (FL-19) and Congressman Ron Klein (FL-22) will be joined by Bernard Siegel, Executive Director of the Genetics Policy Institute and founder of the World Stem Cell Summit, for a press conference on the urgent need to lift a federal court's recent injunction on federally-backed embryonic stem cell research. The Congressmen will join families, advocates, and organizations with a stake in this critical research at Stand Among Friends, a local disability center located on the Florida Atlantic University campus. Millions of Americans and their families pray and hope each day that stem cell research on discarded and donated embryos will yield cures to some of mankind's most devastating diseases and disorders.
