The health care bill was too big, and it fails to contain soaring costs. It needs major improvement, but there are some common-sense measures we can agree on, such as preventing insurance companies from dropping patients with "pre-existing conditions and closing the Medicare D "donut hole" which saves our seniors billions of dollars in prescription drug benefits.
