Although Congress is still currently debating our nation's healthcare system, it's still clearly evident that a large number of families in Assembly District 28 are still either uninsured or unable to afford the healthcare coverage they need.
"I was raised in a working class family and spent much of my life uninsured. I know what it's like to be afraid to get sick or hurt because of the high cost of healthcare. It's simply unacceptable that hardworking people should have to go without basic medical care simply because they are unfortunate enough to work for an employer who doesn't offer, or can't afford to offer,
health insurance. Being un-insured or under-insured is very often not a choice, but a harsh reality of a broken healthcare system. I believe that all Nevadans should have access to basic medical care, and I will work tirelessly until that happens."
