Rural Arizona has lost many well paying jobs in the last decade. Yes, tourism and recreation need to be promoted and developed, but the jobs related to these industries do not pay much more than minimum wage. Construction has kept our rural economies going but now there is housing slow down due to the tightening of loan requirements. For the long term stability of our rural counties which historically have been the producers of our food, fiber and minerals we must continue to fight for farming and those natural resource industries that bring long-term stability, prosperity and independence to our nation. America must get back to work producing and manufacturing to bring our Nation out of this recession.
Printing money and raising taxes will not turn us around.
