Republican gubernatorial candidate Bill Brady today released the following statement after a shocking news account last night revealed Governor Pat Quinn doled out hundreds more pay raises for non-union state employees than previously reported for the first six months of 2010:

"During the worst fiscal crisis in history, Pat Quinn has proven time and again to be just another political insider who acts solely to protect and expand big government at taxpayer expense," said Brady.

"Doling out hundreds of state pay raises -- as high as $40,000 -- while families suffer under massive unemployment, and vital service providers are forced to shut their doors and deny necessary services is the height of irresponsibility and mismanagement."

"This revelation underscores what voters already know - we will never clean up the mess in state government with Pat Quinn as Governor."

Also today, Brady for Illinois released the following online video, called "No Way."
