Issue Position

First and foremost we must secure our borders and stop the flow of illegal immigrants into our country. Anyone here illegally should be sent back home and required to enter our country legally and through the proper channels. I also support E-Verify to ensure the employers are required to confirm the immigration status of prospective employees prior to hiring them. The bottom line: We are a nation of immigrants, but we are also a nation of laws.

When it comes to immigration and border security, the federal government has simply failed to do its job, and that is why I commend the people of Arizona for taking decisive action and confronting this growing crisis head-on. The Justice Department decision to sue Arizona for taking such action is an outrage and I strongly support Arizona in their legal fight.
