As a small business owner and job creator, I will use the skills I've learned to help small businesses create good-paying jobs. Saginaw has been hit hard by this economic storm: Forbes Magazine recently rated the city as the #3 worst city to find employment while Careerbuilder placed Saginaw in the top five worst cities for wage growth. In order to weather this storm, Saginaw needs new leadership that is dedicated to bolstering business development and creating good-paying jobs. As new jobs come to our community, we must ensure that all companies receiving state tax credits hire Michigan workers first, guaranteeing that our tax dollars are going towards jobs for our workers. We can't turn this state around by outsourcing jobs- we must keep them right here in Michigan.
