The education of young Nevadans is perhaps the most disheartening issue at hand. Currently, the state had one large fund for education funding which allows for little accountability and inefficient spending. I recommend using smaller funds which would provide for greater oversight, accountability and more efficient spending. School choice, whether it be through empowerment schools and programs, charter schools or vocational schools allow the money to follow and provide for each individual student while providing those students with eductionatal opportunities they would not have had otherwise. Performance, for both students and teachers should be monitored and more importantly, rewarded - this will provide Nevada teachers and students with access to greater grants.
