Keep Taxes Low and Reduce Government Spending
As a member of the Taxation Committee in the House of Representatives, I have stood against proposed tax increases and repeals of tax rebates for South Dakota businesses. During these challenging economic times, increasing taxes on hard working South Dakotans is just simply wrong and is counter--productive to the positive steps we are taking to re-start the economic engine of South Dakota. Government must reduce its spending and be a partner with South Dakota's farmer's and small businesses, not an impediment to progress and investment. Nothing is more important than focusing on limiting spending and building our economy and jobs for South Dakota's future. I will maintain my commitment to this philosophy as I continue in service as your next State Senator.
