HB 277 creates 12 special regional tax districts that will each assemble a Regional Transportation Roundtable that will be comprised of local government officials throughout the district.
That Roundtable will then have the ability to offer voters the opportunity to vote on and fund projects through a 1% sales tax for regional transportation solutions.
Each region then has the ability to prioritize projects and vote up or down on increasing their tax burden
