It is my belief that hard working Kentuckians and our businesses already pay too much in taxes and I have no intention of voting to raise taxes. I believe in smaller government and feel that we can solve many of our Commonwealth's budget problems by finding ways to provide government services more efficiently and by cutting both the size of government and spending. Another way to provide new revenue without raising taxes is to focus on economic development and recruit new businesses and retain businesses that provide stable, good paying jobs. To achieve this goal we must focus on improving our education system and retaining our best and brightest students to work in Kentucky. Also, we must invest in our roads, highways, water and sewer systems and other infrastructure so that we can improve and modernize these systems.
