Free Enterprise Still Works to Create Jobs
Georgia's economy, hard hit by the recession, still offers a promising future. In 2009, Forbes Magazine listed Georgia in its top 10 states in the nation for economic development. As a small business owner who manages his own firm, William Ligon understands what it takes to persevere through the tough times and wait for that more hopeful day. In the meantime, he believes government should be more accommodating to the business community. Government must operate as efficiently as possible to keep the tax burden low and attract new businesses. He supports tax credits for businesses hiring new employees. William Ligon will work to strengthen opportunities for young people who are facing the worst job market in decades.
