U.S. Senator John McCain (R-AZ) today introduced a bill that would direct the Bureau of Land Management to convey federal land to the Arizona Game and Fish Commission for the construction of the Mohave Valley Shooting Range near Bullhead City, Arizona:

"I'm pleased to be joined by my colleague, Senator Kyl, in introducing a bill that would allow the Mohave Valley Shooting Range project to move forward," said Senator John McCain. "The proposed shooting range underwent twelve long years of environmental and cultural study before Bureau of Land Management finally approved its location and design earlier this year. Undeservedly, the project is now tied up in administrative appeals with no end in sight. After twelve years of waiting to break ground, gun owners and law enforcement officers in Mohave County deserve to get their shooting range."
