U.S. Rep. Walt Minnick hailed the U.S. Supreme Court decision today on McDonald v. City of Chicago as a victory for 2nd Amendment rights. The decision affirms that the right to keep and bear arms is federally protected. Minnick, along with a bi-partisan group of 251 Members and 58 Senators, signed an amicus brief in this case.
"I applaud this decision, and the clarity and closure it brings to the American people," Minnick said. "I am proud to have joined with my colleagues from both sides of the aisle to demand and work toward better protection of the 2nd Amendment rights that Idahoans hold so dear."
