Hoosiers should value those principles, which prior generations honored. Our nation grows in numbers and prosperity of unprecedented fashion, when values and personal integrity are applied to everyday living.
The basic principle of respecting human life is foundational to our Hoosier heritage. I respect life (as does our Constitution, referring to it as one of those "unalienable rights"), and am resolute in knowing any nation cannot be exalted which does not have the fortitude to defend the defenseless, and protect them from the strong.
Each year over 11,000 young lives are terminated in Indiana. I promise to defend life. Abraham Lincoln said, "to sin by silence when they should protest makes cowards of men." Support me in taking a courageous stand, on behalf of the helpless of our society.
