Golda Meir, Former Prime Minister of Israel said, "There will be peace in the Middle East when the Arabs learn to love their children more than they hate the Jews."
Israel has been described by some historians as "The Little Engine That Could." For a tiny little country that is less only 62 years old their contributions in the fields of medicine, science, technology, agriculture and security is unheard of in any other country in the world today. Why nations would want to destroy this model of innovation is beyond comprehension.
As the sole democracy in the Middle East, Israel stands as a beacon of hope for democracy in the Middle East. I totally support the protection of Israel at all costs. It is imperative that Iran be stopped from developing a nuclear weapon. For this administration to be tiptoeing around the Iranian threats is beyond comprehension
That is why it is crucial that we prevent Iran from obtaining nuclear weapons by imposing economic sanctions and blockades, if necessary. At the same time, we cannot abandon our staunchest ally in the region, Israel, or tie their hands behind their backs. Should this happen, Israel would be the first target in Iran's sights, potentially causing a regional war and inevitably demanding US involvement. My greatest fear is that when Iran finally develops a nuclear weapon, and it is only a matter of time, they will not test it in the desert of Iran they will test it in the streets of Tel Aviv. Iran must be stopped cold and stopped now.
As an ally and a beacon of democracy in the Middle East, I firmly believe in Israel's right to defend itself, and its worthiness of our full support. Our national security hinges upon our willingness to accept these hard truths and work with our allies to combat radical Islamic terrorism.
I unequivocally support Israel's nation sovereignty and an undivided Jerusalem. As our steadfast ally and first line of defense in the War on Terror, they deserve nothing less than the full support of the United States while we work together to preserve freedom for the western world.
