Congressman Phil Gingrey released the following statement today marking the three-month anniversary of the enactment of ObamaCare:
"Three months later, Obamacare has been nothing short of a disaster, delivering not a single one of the promised results of lower costs, better care, or being able to keep your health care coverage if you want to. Despite Speaker Pelosi's claims that once the American people learned what was in Obamacare, they would like it, 58 percent of Americans favor a repeal of the bill -- which is even higher than when the legislation was signed into law. Maybe that's because there's nothing pretty about the truth behind Obamacare -- millions of seniors losing access to Medicare Advantage, higher prescription drug prices under Medicare, employees of small businesses being forced to change plans, skyrocketing costs and an increased deficit, and higher taxes for middle class families. Simply put, Obamacare is not the health care solution we need or want. We need to repeal Obamacare before more harm is done and replace it with common-sense solutions that actually lower costs and improve care without a government takeover."
