The number one industry in Georgia is agriculture. The counties making up the 2nd District here in Southwest Georgia produce nearly $2 billion a year in agricultural products. (Source: http://www.georgiastats.uga.edu ).
Agriculture is the engine that drives our economy and jobs. As your Representative, I will work hard to make sure farmers have a fair chance to grow, raise and bring to market their products while earning a living without the federal government taking away the fruits of their labor by taxation or regulation.

Our current Representative supports the National Energy Tax which would be devastating to our local economy. With CO2 being regulated by legislation or by the EPA the effect is the same…it will drive up production costs, drive up food prices which drives down consumption and drives down income for our farmers.

We must keep agriculture #1 in Georgia!
