As a former mayor of West Memphis and a leading businessman in our community, Keith Ingram understands that quality PUBLIC SCHOOLS are the key to attracting new business and improving the quality of life in our area. He is dedicated to serving the needs of our widely respected Mid-South Community College.
We need strong schools to create a skilled workforce and attract new businesses to our area. Students attending public schools in Crittenden County are just as important, just as deserving and just as promising as those attending any school in the state. Keith believes that more early childhood and pre-kindergarten programs are key to giving our kids their best chance at a quality education.
Keith has co-sponsored bills establishing the Arkansas Scholarship Lottery Act and amending provisions to the Arkansas Academic Challenge Scholarship as well as to provide additional funding for employee health care for schoolteachers. In addition, Keith has worked diligently in chairing the Athletic Training Task Force, which will review all aspects of enhanced safety for student athletes attending public schools.
