Agriculture is struggling with margins and needs help to be competitive with super markets. Fresh food is healthier; and farm stands help our farmers remain financially viable
* Bob believes the General Assembly should remove local zoning and building impediments many farmers face when they need to supplement farming operations through farm stands or other agribusiness opportunities.
Our farmers should not be unnecessarily constrained in their efforts/needs to move their equipment between their fields. Often fields are not contiguous, and the farmers need to use public (often two lane) roads to move their equipment; and the local two lane, township maintained road is the only way they can move between fields. We need to enable them to move their equipment as easily as possible. In Bob's township this is a common occurrence and creates no hazards, even in traffic clogged Montgomery County.
* Bob supports changing Pennsylvania's Vehicle Code to allow for the easier movement of tractors and other agricultural vehicles on roads.
