One of the best assets of our state is our own young people. They leave our farms and our communities after high school to educate themselves, to see the world, and to find economic opportunities. However, the day may come when they will look back on their hometowns with a desire to return and live. They'll look to home because they remember communities that are safe, communities with good schools and a strong sense of value and purpose. They won't return if we've not created the jobs or the economic opportunities they're looking for. Nor will they return if we've not maintained the quality of life they grew up with and want for their children.
