Families need the opportunity to make all decisions concerning their children's education. I support lifting the cap on charter schools and investing in community colleges and vocational education programs. The most important aspects of educating our children are parental involvement and good teachers. The current dropout rate in North Carolina is unacceptable. We need to focus on improving academic performance and increasing technology in the classroom.
