Being the only candidate for the 13th Senate seat to have been endorsed by WVFL ten years running. I would like to note that the current scoring indicates a motion to Discharge the Committee, which is neither a vote for or against a particular piece of legislation, but rather a move to eliminate the committee process. This past session, several legislators suggested presenting the same motion again when it seemed the "ultrasound bill" was in jeopardy. This idea was quickly squashed by the WVFL organizers. I fully believe in the committee process, not half heartily but fully, just as our forefathers did and will never vote to discharge any committee. The process should never supersede the issue but rather the process is there to protect all issues.
