In a free society, people have the right bear arms for their personal security as well as for the collective security to protect against foreign and domestic enemies. A right to bear arms specified in the Second Amendment is not just a right to own firearms for sport or hunting purposes, but specifically a right of citizens bear arms in order so they can protect themselves from an abusive government as well as from foreign invaders.

"The Constitution shall never be construedÂ… to prevent the people of the United States who are peaceable citizens from keeping their own arms." - Samuel Adams

The right to bear arms is essential to a free society and should not be infringed.

The 2nd Amendment is the law of the land.

I oppose any attempts to use international treaties to circumvent our constitutional freedoms. United States is a sovereign nation.

The right to protect life, liberty and property is fundamental; without the means of protection these rights are meaningless.
