Working to provide resources to constituents looking for employment, Rep. Debbie Halvorson (IL-11) is announcing the first in a series of "Job Hunters Boot Camps" she is coordinating provide constituents the tools necessary to find a job in an improving market. The first Boot Camp will be held at Illinois Valley Community College in LaSalle County, with additional events being planned throughout the 11th District in July.
"We have seen signs that our economy is on the road to recovery, and as more opportunities become available, I want to ensure my constituents have the tools they need to find good work," said Halvorson. "I look forward holding these events throughout our district so every constituent who needs help finding a job has the resources they need to do so."
The Job Hunters Boot Camp will offer participants a chance to better prepare themselves for the changing job market with practical advice from a number of area professionals. Attendees will also have the opportunity to participate in workshops on topics ranging from navigating the job market online, to finance and budgeting. Participants can also have their resumes critiqued and participate in a mock interview.
