We need to keep the commitments that have been made to our seniors, while keeping Social Security and Medicare solvent for future generations. That means eliminating waste, fraud and abuse that literally costs the system billions of dollars every year.
We need to provide more accessible, affordable and safe public transportation options to seniors living in the suburban communities throughout Burlington and Ocean counties, and Cherry Hill, so those who are no longer able, or willing, to drive on their own can still lead active, independent lives.
Finally, we must prevent the false choice so many seniors face of keeping up with their taxes or affording their prescription medications.
