PROactive Solutions to NASA Funding Issues

Space:

Human space exploration is the next great human endeavor. It is imperative that the United States remain the leader in human space flight and sustained space presence. The United States has accomplished amazing feats in the 50 years of its space program. However, the political oscillation of the leadership in Washington DC has squandered most of the assets and accomplishments and has put the industry in a position of being reliant on federal dollars to survive. As a result, there are a great number of talented and brilliant persons who have left the industry or are mired in typical red tape that comes with government programs. In spite of the brilliant leadership provided to the agency following the Columbia Accident, the political influence of congress has placed the workforce and its infrastructure in a position that will require years to recover. The innovative spirit and capability of the people of Northern Alabama and those around this country in sister states of the space industry cannot be allowed to be squandered. Due to the fiscal constraints of the federal budget, the government can no longer be the sole provider of funding for the United States Space Program.

There is a solution. As a candidate I am already working with experts and leaders within the industry to develop a plan to enable privatization of the space industry, by removing the government hurdles to space access and allowing the commercial entities to reap the full reward of their risks. As your representation in DC for Northern AL, I will lead my fellow congressmen to remove the restrictions on private space industry and return NASA to its original mission as stated in the NASA Act of 1958. The people of Alabama District 5 will shine and prosper under a new paradigm of space policy that encourages innovation by putting the reward back in the hands of those minds that create. This plan will put the people of America's space industry back to work sooner without requiring any federal stimulus money. Moreover it will return the US to an industrial manufacturing base and create high paying, highly skilled employment. The people of this district and the industry leadership that we provide in combination with American Capitalism are the solution to spreading freedom and prosperity all over the globe. Sustained continued growth and commercial application of technological advancement through space commerce, experimentation and exploration is the leading industry that will provide revenues and further commerce to every other supporting business in our country. I will take this solution to Washington and unleash you to pursue your dreams.
