Issue Position

One of the greatest challenges facing the people of the 3rd District is the economic slowdown that shows few signs of subsiding. The challenges to our economy, which have our national unemployment percentage at nearly 10% and our state rate at 8.9%, are putting a great strain on our families.

Our families work longer hours, make lesser money, and are beginning to feel the squeeze of an economy that was built on an unsustainable growth. Unfortunately for us, Washington's solution has been to bailout Wall Street while expecting Main Street to foot the bill.

As a Congressman, Mike Kelly will put his private sector experience as a successful small businessman to work for the people of the 3rd District. Mike will fight hard to lower taxes for our working families and job creators, lessen crushing regulations, create an environment for green jobs, and work to make sure that our workforce has the skills necessary to compete in the global market.

Mike will fight for job creators on Main Street; he will oppose the type of Wall Street bailouts that both Republican and Democratic administrations have wrongly passed in the last two years.
