Today, Paul Hodes released the following statement on the bipartisan DISCLOSE Act, a proposal designed to rein in unlimited corporate spending in federal elections:
"Both Democrats and Republicans should be able to agree that unlimited corporate spending strips choice from voters and is toxic for our democracy," said Hodes. "After talking to people throughout New Hampshire, I believe that the only way to prevent corporate spending from hijacking our elections is to protect the will of the voters through a constitutional amendment. My Granny D Amendment will guarantee that the people of New Hampshire, and not foreign corporations, will decide our elections."
