Today, Paul Hodes released the following statement on the announcement that in April, the US economy created 290,000 jobs. In the first four months of 2010, 573,000 jobs have been created:
"This morning's announcement holds good news for Granite Staters," said Hodes. "While these numbers make it clear that employers throughout New Hampshire are hopeful about the direction of our economy, more must be done to ensure that middle class families are able to find the good paying jobs they need. To ensure that our economy makes a full and speedy recovery, we must continue pushing for the programs and tax cuts that encourage our small businesses to grow."
