I believe that marriage is the sanctified union of one man and one woman. The family is the basic core unit of our society. The two-parent family still provides the best environment of stability, discipline, responsibility, and character. However, I have many friends who are single parents, raising their families with a stable home and I can only call them courageous. Children are our nation's most precious resource. We must protect our nation's traditional marriage laws so that our children grow up in social environments that make them great citizens of our country.
