Today, Paul Hodes announced that his plan to help veterans create new, good paying jobs in New Hampshire and throughout America has been moved ahead through a recently announced executive order by President Obama. As part of Hodes' comprehensive jobs plan, improving resources for veteran entrepreneurs will create jobs and grow New Hampshire's economy.
"The men and women who have honorably served in our military have leadership and technical skills that are perfect to help grow our small business economy," said Hodes. "Small businesses in New Hampshire are the key engine for job growth, encouraging more veterans to create and grow New Hampshire small businesses is a win-win for the Granite State."
By executive order, President Obama has created a task force of high ranking officials from across his administration to work towards creating a stronger small business community led by veteran entrepreneurs. In January, Hodes proposed legislation which would similarly encourage veteran-owned small business growth. Hodes has called for an investigation into government practices which were not meeting stated goals for including veteran-owned small businesses.
