Rep. Lucio recognizes how essential the ranchers and farmers of the Rio Grande Valley are to the local and state economy. He supported the eminent domain proposition that finally will address the issue of farm and ranch lands being acquired simply for the purpose of transferring to a private entity for development. He is devoted to making sure that the livelihood and tradition of the family farm or ranch is preserved.
