Solutions for America's Energy
In the summer of 2008, energy prices skyrocketed; costing Georgians hundreds of dollars more at the pump each month, yet Congress did nothing to increase the supply of oil. To meet America's increasing demand for energy and lessen our dependence on foreign oil, we must implement an energy policy that capitalizes on our own vast resources and American ingenuity and innovation. America must tap into our domestic oil supplies by opening up the Alaska National Wildlife Refuge (ANWR) and the outer-continental shelf to oil exploration. We must increase oil refining capability in the United States and streamline the approval process and incent utility companies to begin building nuclear power plants nationwide.
As your Congressman, I'll support developing our own resources and capabilities to increase our supply of domestic fuels. Economics 101...when supply go up, prices go down.
