Congressman J. Gresham Barrett (SC-03) released the following statement in regards to the Administration's FY2011 Budget Proposal:
"While the President issued some tough talk on fiscal responsibility during his State of the Union address last Wednesday, the Administration seems to be singing a different tune this week. Today, the President unveiled his budget proposal for fiscal year 2011, a plan which doubles debt and sets unprecedented spending and deficit records.
The President said he wants to lower our deficits, but this budget will push the deficit to a record setting level of $1.6 trillion.
It is time the President backs up his tough talk on fiscal discipline by instituting policies that will truly work, such as auditing the fed and returning unused TARP funds to taxpayers."
