Moran Comments On Fiscally Irresponsible Budget

Statement

Congressman Jerry Moran issued the following statement today following the release of President Obama's $3.83 trillion budget.

"Not only is this budget fiscally irresponsible, but it is another example of Washington deception," Moran said. "Despite the President's call for a spending freeze and greater fiscal restraint in last week's State of the Union address, this budget will double the debt in five years. Washington has more than a fiscal deficit--it also has an ethical deficit. The American people deserve honesty from their elected officials and want them to make hard choices to put our country's fiscal books in order. We need to pass the balanced budget amendment and start living within our means."
