Stabenow: America Moves Closer to Health Insurance Reforms that Save Lives and Save Money
U.S. Senator Debbie Stabenow, a member of the Senate Finance Committee, made the following statement after the Senate voted 60 to 39 to move forward on health insurance reform legislation.
"Tonight, after many months of hard work, we are one step closer to ending bad insurance company practices and passing legislation that will save lives and save money. The Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act will lower costs for businesses and families who need affordable health insurance now. It will also make insurance companies treat you fairly so you get the coverage you pay for."
