Reps. Smith, Granger Ask U.S. Attorney General To Investigate Possible ACORN Involvement With Sex Trafficking

Congressman Chris Smith and Congresswoman Kay Granger, co-chairs of the Congressional Human Trafficking Caucus, today sent a letter to U.S. Attroney General Eric Holder asking him to appoint a Special Counsel to investigate the Association for Community Organizations for Reform Now's (ACORN) activities, including possible involvement with actual sex trafficking ventures and ACORN's apparent offer of tax, loan, mortgage, and money laundering assistance to human traffickers as recently revealed in undercover videos recorded in ACORN offices across the country.
