Sessions Comment on Northrop Grumman Statement

U.S. Sen. Jeff Sessions (R-AL) made the following comments today regarding a statement released by Northrop Grumman regarding the U.S. Air Force tanker recapitalization program:

"The tanker competition must be conducted in a fair and transparent manner that identifies the aircraft representing the best value to the military. I applaud Northrop Grumman's willingness to raise concerns about the possibility that price information was shared with its competitor, as this issue goes to the fundamental fairness of the competition. It's my understanding that the NG/EADS team is currently working with the Department of Defense to address their concerns. The Department of Defense must treat both bidders fairly."
