“Making college affordable to all New Yorkers is a critical goal, and one which New York State has invested in through the Tuition Assistance Program (TAP) and the New York Higher Education Loan Program (NYHELPs). I applaud Vice President Biden for coming to Syracuse to discuss the issue with the public and for striving to make higher education available to students of all backgrounds.

“Syracuse University is an ideal location for this discussion, as it is one of the gems of New York's many outstanding universities. It is that bedrock of innovation and knowledge that will help lead New York into the New Economy. We will continue to work with the White House, our Congressional Delegation and legislative partners to provide all New Yorkers with access to an affordable post-secondary education.”
