<br>Congressman Watt Responds To The Death Of Senator Ted Kennedy

Congressman Mel Watt (12th District of North Carolina) made the following statement about the death of Senator Ted Kennedy.

“After 47 years of public service, a great chapter in American history has been closed. Today we mourn the death of one of the great public servants of our life time. Senator Kennedy spent his life fighting for and serving the people of this great nation. He made such an indelible mark on this country and made so many contributions to the lives of others that will live on through his legacy and ultimately the legacy of the Kennedy family. My thoughts and prayers go out to Senator Kennedy's wife Victoria, his daughter Kara, sons Edward and Patrick and the entire Kennedy family. The Congress, the Senate and more importantly the American people have lost a great servant.”
