NEUGEBAUER RESPONDS TO THE PRESIDENT'S STATE OF THE UNION ADDRESS

Washington, DC - Congressman Randy Neugebauer responded Tuesday evening following the President's State of the Union address:

"I was pleased to hear the President outline not only where we've been as a nation, but where we're going. He made it very clear that progress is being made on the War on Terror. I was particularly impressed with two key themes the President used throughout his address-the opportunities and responsibilities we have as Americans. We are still at war and while at war our government has the responsibility of protecting its people. America's economy provides great opportunities for our country. We also have the responsibility to make sure that economy provides jobs for all Americans. The President also highlighted again that we must find a way to provide quality and affordable health care-to all citizens. And I agree with the President that while this is a time of change, things like family, integrity, respecting differences don't change."
