Capitol Hill ceremony recognized Congressman's leadership
and dedication on breast cancer research legislation
In a Capitol Hill ceremony this week, the National Breast Cancer Coalition (NBCC) honored U.S. Representative Frank A. LoBiondo (NJ-02) for his advocacy and leadership to increase breast cancer research funding. NBCC signaled out LoBiondo's bipartisan efforts to secure $150 million for the Peer-Reviewed Breast Cancer Research Program at the Defense Department in Fiscal Year 2010 appropriations process.
"The National Breast Cancer Coalition is grateful to Congressman Frank A. LoBiondo for his leadership in support of the Department of Defense Peer-reviewed Breast Cancer Research Program. He has always been there for us and we are thankful for his commitment to our cause," said NBCC President Fran Visco.
