Stabenow Reaction to President's Call to Eliminate Corporate Tax Loopholes that Send Jobs Overseas

Statement

Location: Washington, DC

U.S. Senator Debbie Stabenow today made the following statement regarding the President's call to end tax preferences for companies that send jobs overseas.

"For far too long, corporations have been rewarded for sending jobs overseas. These tax loopholes are as outrageous as they are indefensible. Not only do they cost us jobs here at home, but companies that are good corporate citizens, that play by the rules, and that create jobs here at home, are punished when they are forced to compete with those who benefit by shipping jobs overseas.

"I look forward to working with the President on crafting bipartisan legislation that will end the tax loopholes for companies that send jobs overseas and ensure that we remain the most innovative country in the world." - U.S. Senator Debbie Stabenow
