Rep. Martin Heinrich's Statement Regarding Energy Secretary Steven Chu's Visit to New Mexico

U.S. Representative Martin Heinrich (D-NM) released the following statement today regarding U.S. Energy Secretary Steven Chu's two-day visit to New Mexico's national laboratories. Rep. Heinrich joined Secretary Chu today on a tour of the Microsystems and Engineering Sciences Applications (MESA) Microelectronics Laboratory at Sandia National Laboratories.

"It's clear that Secretary Chu understands the important role the Sandia National Laboratories play in the future of national security and development of clean energy jobs. The work being done at Sandia is vital to achieving President Obama's goals of further reductions in our nuclear stockpile and greater energy security. I look forward to working with President Obama and Secretary Chu to support the innovative work being done at Sandia."
