Rep. Pitts Cosponsors Economic Recovery Act
Congressman Joe Pitts (PA-16) has joined with Republican colleagues in the House in cosponsoring H.R. 470, the Economic Recovery and Middle-Class Tax Relief Act of 2009. The legislation stands as a comprehensive alternative to the Democrat plan to spend $850 billion of taxpayer money on various projects as so-called stimulus. The plan offers incentive-based relief to job-creators and reduces the cost that government imposes on middle-class families.
"I think the American people know we can't borrow and spend our way back to a strong economy. The best way I can think of to get our economy back on track is to unleash the entrepreneurial ability of the American people.
