CONGRESSMAN ROSKAM STATEMENT ON 7th ANNIVERSARY OF THE ATTACKS OF 9/11
Congressman Peter J. Roskam (R-IL) today released the following statement on the 7th anniversary of the terrorist attacks of September 11th, 2001:
"As we enter this eighth year without an attack on our homeland, let us be grateful to those men and women in the Armed Forces whose service make these past seven years of security possible.
"While the attack was on America's homeland, citizens of ninety countries were among the 2,751 people who lost their lives that day.
"Subsequent attacks in Spain, London, Indonesia, Russia, Jordan and nations too numerous to name show us that the threat we face is one of the civilized world united against cruelty and anarchy.
"Let us never forget the suffering America felt on September 11, 2001.
"Let us never forget that the world is united against the extremist threat.
"Let us never cease to be vigilant."
