CRAMER ANNOUNCES PASSAGE OF NASA AUTHORIZATION BILL
U.S. Representative Bud Cramer (Ala.-05) announced today that the House of Representatives last weekend passed H.R. 6063 to reauthorize NASA at a funding level of $20.2 billion. The legislation originally passed the House on June 18, 2008. The Senate passed an amended version of the legislation on September 25, 2008. Saturday's vote approved the Senate's changes to the original bill.
"I am proud that the Congress voted to send this legislation to the president before my final term in Congress ends," Cramer said. "I have always supported Marshall Space Flight Center and all of NASA's field centers. I am pleased that one of my final votes in Congress will give NASA the resources it needs to sustain programs and research initiatives that are critical to keeping America at the forefront of space exploration."
The bill now goes to the president for his signature.
